Car is new so not had it's first service yet, oil came with it ?

Nice one thanks, I asked for time and distance but I got long life top up oil so I don't know what they put me on in the end !!

Hmmmm - they usually only give a top up if they've put LongLife in the sump.  Was the service recently?  What does the SID say now?

Well how old is it, and how many miles has it done?  If you then check the SID, you can work out with some simple maths of weather the car was set for LongLife, and roughly what the total projected miles will be between services.  :nerd:

If you look on the sticker in your service book there is a load of codes.  If one of them is "QG1" it is set on longlife servicing from the factory, and if it says "QG0" or "QG2" it is on time/distance servicing.

I found this out yesterday whilst reading through my service manual trying to work out why my service light hasn't come on yet (9,200 miles).  The reason - my car has been set on longlife servicing
