First time DIY body modding! I have questions!

I'm just after ordering the last of the external mods for my mk5 and couldn't be more excited  . I really want to try and fit everything myself, but I have never done this kind of thing before and am a bit nervous about it all. Here's a list of what's to do so far.
The mod list:
ABT front spoiler - abs plastic, needs primer, spraying and fitting
ABT rear valence without exhaust cut outs - grp (or is fibreglass more correct?), needs primer, spraying and fitting
ABT side skirts - grp, needs primer, spraying and fitting
Angel Eye headlights with DRLs (same as Hurdy's) - not arrived yet
Phillips X-Treme power bulbs - arrived, waiting for headlights
Rear light cluster with black background instead of red - needs fitting
Carbon fibre badgeless front grille - not arrived yet
I've found some handy DIY guides for the headlights and the front grille (links here) so those should be fine. The same site also had a DIY guide for part of the rear cluster (found here), but I can't find a link for the lights in the hatch itself but it looks to be a job of removing the hatch trim and swapping out the cluster in a similar fashion.
The hard parts seem to be the front spoiler, rear valence and side skirts. I have no idea how to do those, so any advice would be great  .
For the front spoiler it looks like I'll have to replace the small plastic one that its currently on the front bumper, so it might be a matter of taking off the bumper, removing the plastic, lining up the new spoiler and some drilling. Is this correct?
For the side skirts I looked at the side skirts on my mum's Volvo S40 with the sport body styling. On the volvo they seem to be attached by a bolt on either end. Would this work for the golf or is there more to it?
I dunno about the rear valence at all. I'll post a picture to show you, but it looks like it would need a lot of drilling for the fixtures. I got it from an ebay seller, but other buyers said that it fitted without too much work. Could much drilling on the grp valence cause it to crack or anything?
Anyway, any advice would be fantastic  I'm looking forward to learning

Maybe, I haven't decided yet. If getting them sprayed professionally doesn't cost too much I'll go that route.

It's a debadged front grille for the non-gti mk5s. I spotted the carbon fibre option, asked for a photoshop of it and thought it looked great so now I'm waiting to see it in the flesh.

Big list. I have the same splitter and its a doddle to fit

Unscrew the OEM lip from under the car think its 6 torx screws. its then just a matter of popping off. Best to pull at one side, then the other, itwill then just come right off.

If you look at the ABT splitter it has a number of fibreglass tabs, these pop into the bumper in the same place as you remove the lip. putiing this on is really a job for two people. as you need quite a bit of force to push the lip on at the edges and keep it lined up on both sides.

Once on you will need to drill a hole in the base of the splitter on each side to hold the supporting brackets. These fix to the front subframe of the car via some handy existing holes.

And your done

You might want to consider getting the body parts professionally primed and painted - may be best done when fitted on the car to prevent damaging the painted finish. The rest are easily do-able yourself.

You'd be surprised how skilled you need to be to match a good paint finish. Or do you already have lots of experience?
