Car's off to Designa Dubs today

other places were quoting ?5200 to ?6500 and the end spec wasn't as good as this.

It's the 180bhp TT engine, but with a huge air filter and powerflow exhaust it should be around 200 and then with some management fettling 240 which is what I asked for.

The engine came from REVO and they sorted all that out.

Gotta go now. Hope the little 8v makes it lol

We went into the Designa Dubs tent at inters and they were quoting ?4250 + VAT for that conversion on a mk2, thats without the other bits, you're having done.........so you have got a really good price there Diz

i think designa dubs were taking advantage of the vast numbers of dubbers that are after ths conversion, therefore bumping up the price a bit for the show knowing that there still alot cheaper than anywhere else.

it seems to have taken a very long time for them to actually get dizzies car into the garage and im not sure i would be happy with the customer service if it was my car waiting to go in.

yeah I did. I took everything that wasn't bolted down out of the golf when I left her there today. poor thing. she's in good hands though. They reved up a rallye with the same engine while I was there. I think I did a sex wee

I took the headunit hoping to get another plug for the back for not much, but SMC want ?30 for one! sod that. I'll wire in my old sony MD in that case. I'll have to see what halfords do them for.

I'm getting a bit more than just an engine for my ?4000. They're putting on my G60 brakes and setting them up. swapping over to my new 16v springs and setting all that up. Bolting on power steering too It's very good seeing as JBS wanted in the region of ?8000 for the same setup without all the little extras.

Dizzie's picking it up this Friday. I'm picking him up from Reading station and taking him to his car........armed with camera.......can't wait to see his face when he looks under the bonnet.

make sure you/they change the master cylinder aswell dizzie as the size of the 8v one wont give as good pressure as a g60 one will!!!! just a thought but im sure theyll know that already!! lol

Brentacre want another ?350 to cover me. That's limited to 180bhp. They want ?650 on top of the ?894 I pay them already to cover me up to 250bhp. Of course I didn't know I was running slightly more boost than standard

I'm really going to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to afford a complete powerflow system.

I've been on at them today. Today the car was next door having the bay prepped   I want the car back on friday FFS!  

They bettered pull their fingers out and get it done else I ain't gonna be happy. I've told them I've got sh!t loads of things organised to get it back then (rich's lift amongst other things)

We'll just have to wait and see.
