Have they started to bash it yet?
« on: 03 September 2008, 12:57 »
It's about time VW's publicity machine started to rubbish the Mk5.  Slowly at first, with little hints about quality.  Then (when the Mk5 is no longer on sale) pointing out defects in handling, speed, ride, comfort, noise and quality again.  Prepare for the onslaught and hold tight until the first year problems with the Mk6 are revealed.  Then smile as you realise the £10,000 you saved by not changing to a facelift with nothing new (except a suspension setting that we will all leave on Sport anyway).

Most of the copy in newspaper and magazine reviews is straight from the makers press pack.
BMW are ruthless in knocking the old models, driving the market forward and people out of very fine cars with years of life in them.

I've had a nice holiday away.
On my return my login had changed back to Mr Crabster, Egbert was gone.

The new Mk6 Egbert Nosh is here, rubbishing the old Mk5 Crabster.
