Due to the amount of info on this I've read already, I've gotten a bit confused in the fog. I don't want to thread hijack, but thought Tom might know the answer seen as though he's just had the ABF done. I'm after a quick answer to this question...
With a stock Mk2 KR 16v, you can either bolt a 2.0L block (9a, ABF etc.) to the KR head, or as Tom has done, actually fit the entire ABF system. So... Is the main benefit of going to the trouble of fitting the whole ABF system that you can then improve the ignition/fueling more easily (and if you wanted to add megasquirt for example) because the system is fully electronic, as opposed to K-Jet etc???
