but then i picked it up and its been good times ever since, love it.

i remember getting so annoyed when the dealer kept moving the goal posts with my order, it went from early May, to late May, to July, but eventually turned up in mid June.

it'll turn up and be worth it. just make sure you get the maximum discount you can to compensate.

Worth a shout - threaten to cancel unless they confirm a specific build/delivery date. I'm sure if you shop around you might get a factory build at somewhere near your spec.

I have got a good discount(I think!)- more than 2 grand off. But Tasha is unmoved- says car is on waiting list and wont give me any more specifics. Just says Oct end is latest!

im going to give him a ring in a bit and report back. my dad managed to get just over 3k off the price i was very very pleased to say the least.

i ordered mine around the same time from listers cov too. i had a phone call two weeks ago to tell me that it will be built on the 2nd week of september then it has to come over here etc. so im expecting it the end of this month.
i ordered a standard red gti with arm rest and ipod dock

I think mine is being built at the same time as yours and due for delivery at the same time too! how exciting! our cars will be like twins...almost!

well i have just spoke to vw and he had just checked the update screen and it should be built on the 9th of september. but he said it then takes around another 4weeks after till i can pick it up due to going to port and PDI can anyone confirm this ?? or can i be expecting it a bit sooner?

I got mine 2 weeks after the build date, as its only a short ferry crossing. fingers crossed you'll be the same.
