I have 195/50/15 Eagle F1's and my car is very low. Not a problem with rubbing, the side walls are not bowed on the eagle f1's :D

Will depend on what offset Mr Turners new wheels are going to be, as they are 7J they may well rub

I'm going back to 6.5J when I've got the money for new rims as I'm fed up of it!

if you aint scrubbin you aint dubbin or something like that aint it?

I'm running the standard rims now, and will prob just refurb them (and just dream of BBS!)

The 205/50's are rubbing on full lock now   It may well have lowering springs on..  Or knackered ones

I've no idea what the standard tyre size is for a mk3.

I was waiting for the "diss the mk3 and its boat likeness!" gibby  :undecided:

I must be maturing in my old age.
......now officially dubless.

i need some new rubber for my azevs - 16x7 et20

they got 205/50/16 on atm but they are bulgy and rub so much, i mean not drivable rubbing. It is the offset that causes probs. i want to get stretched rubber on them but not sure what will look "stretched" on them.

I was thinking 185/45/16 if i can find some or 195/40/16.

can anyone shed some light on this?

ohh and will i need new rubber though, if i roll/flare the arches? or do i do both???

Cheers!

LL ;)

205/50 are too big really.. the anni had 215/40x16 but 205/45x16 will be fine too (or 195/45 if you can find them cheap?) and get some nice squarish sidewall ones (falken are meant to be best for this??)

I know people who have 165 on 7" rims but its not something i would recommend.... 195 would be narrowist I would go for
