Cheers matey, i'll try that word for word in the morning and if still no joy it looks like a visit to the stealers with a print out of the info you just posted so they can't argue (although they will) but at least i'll have something in black and white.

Thanks.

Remember, once you've set the launch control do not let the car creep forward in any way, otherwise you'll have to restart the whole procedure. As soon as the car detects motion it thinks you have launched, so you can't do it twice!

I find that when I use the LC feature once the brake is released there is a slight delay before the car moves? Is this normal? No good for races at the lights!

I just tried to invoke this launch control process, I cannot get the revs past 3000.  Even to get it there is a struggle.

Would be interested to find out if this is a vag com programming issue or is there something wrong with my car. Its a MY06(55) DSG.  If so, does anyone know the VAG com settings, I need quick answers as my warranty runs out on Thursday!! if there is anything wrong I need to get it fixed asap.

Car is booked into dealers on Wednesday to get some kind of evap solenoid replaced that was apparently intermittently firing....wonder if its linked to this lack of revs on launch control initiation....(ok be gentle, i am completely non technical).

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

I don't think your meant to get the rev's past 3200rpm (see the second too last part of the instructions on the pic Hurdy took).

On mine it looks almost bang on 3000rpm when holding it on the footbrake and seems to take quite a throttle to get it there.

So to me it doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with it TBH.
