....I've got a silver DSG Scirocco to drive tomorrow morning.

I hasten to add that I'm not buying one though and my dealer knows that. GTI-R is of more interest.

Report as soon as you get back in please :)

Sorry, but just doesn't do it for me i'm afraid.. Just needs something IMO (apart from a KO4 ), but can't think what...
Don't like that colour either.. Put down some impressive performance stats though when Evo mag tested it..

I just saw one in the same blue as that in Odiham (Hampshire), had Press Office on the number plate carrier.

Thoughts: Does look slightly better in the flesh and the proportions are good but I would certainly wait to see what future versions (more sporty looking) might be available and what the Mk6 Golf GTi will be like!

First impressions from RR when he has driven it will also be interesting too!

There's a full group test of a DSG one in the new EVO magazine.  Get's a very good review - they like the adaptive dampers that they reckon are standard on all early UK cars - Comfort, Normal & Sport Settings.  They say the car felt properly sorted, and around the Bedford Autodrome the Scirocco was deeply impressive - nimble with great traction   It posted the best lap times of the four cars tested, the other three being a Volvo C30T5,  BMW 123D and a Mazda RX-8 R3.  It also posted the quickest 0-100mph at 15.9 secs.  Came 2nd overall to the Mazda in the end but the Scirocco was the most rounded of the four 4 by far

Yep, I've seen that review and the 'rocco comes up trumps.

I like the 'rocco and a proper sport version would be tempting
