Oil Leak

I have noticed quite a lot of oil on the drive where i park my car, is there anywhere specific i should be checking??

sump would be my first point of call

then have a good nose around the engine bay

i assume its leaking oil at the front

Yeah at the front, just waiting on my neighbour to find my ramps i lent him so i can get underneath

how much oil we talking? i assume you've checked the dipstick to make sure there's some oil in there

There's quite a bit looking at the patch on the drive, i haven't checked the dip stick as the computer hasn't flashed up 'top up oil'

i'd check that initially- might give you some indication of how much you've lost

did you experience any power loss etc prior to finding the oil?

Nope no power loss, will check the dip stick as well, my neighbour has kindly lost my ramps so cant get under it either

Had a look and it seems to be at the back of the engine, so either the head gasket or rocker gasket

That was my first thought, but there's oil around the rocker cover, will have to have a closer inspection
