Engine code AJZ

This is the code fitted to my 2.0 seems a bit rare (not listed on many parts sites etc etc) anyone know much about them.

your engine is Euro IV emissions compliant as opposed to Euro II and you have 2Nm more torque at 3200rpm instead of 170Nm at 2400rpm

GTI mat has the same prob with his 2.0 cant find many parts for it

No probs you - should have put the word derv in your post then rhys would have been really helpful

if i had put derv in it he wouldnt be able to control his excitement he came to sort out my mrs leon friday and i offered him tea and he said yes no milk just a dash of derv please. just looked at the codes and specs and it says valves per cylinder 4/2 so if that chart is 100% accurate somewhere they must have made an azj 16 valve

i thought all the 8v's were apk engine code and 16v ajz??

well that chart shows valves per cylinder 2/4 so im assuming it comes as 8 or 16v would be nice to find a 16 valve AJZ head for sale
