Paint Strippers on Steelies?

I need to get paint of my newly bought ebay purchase - can I use paint strippers or is that a laughable idea?

is that going to damage them in any way, shape or form?

If not, I'll get on it this weekend.

It's either paint strippers, or I buy a compressor and shot blast attatchment, which I'd use the compressor to paint some vento parts too

Nitromors and after that some work with a wire wheel & drill attachment. Alternatively, pay someone £40 to shotblast them

Keeping schtum. Mostly.
