I Think I have found my next car!

I have been looking for a Mk4 Gti 1.8t to use as a good project car to tune to around 270bhp.  This is what I have just found and will be test driving Saturday.   Its a AUM Ko3s which is a good starting block for more power.

I think I could twist his arm down to £1800

It has silly chrome door mirrors which will be crushed ASAP!!

By the time I have finished with it, if it blows up it will go with a BOOM!  

Saying that I have remapped 1.8T AUMs with 200+k on the clocks to well over 200bhp and (touch wood) as far as I know they are still ripping the tarmac up.

If she drives well and pulls ok I am defo having it, and my 310bhp Calibra will be straight on ebay....

The idea behind the car is for me to take it up to around 250+bhp with basic tuning mods, ie ko4, Remap,  exhaust de or sports cat etc.  within a budget of £1000. just to prove a point that you dont need to spend silly money to get some nice power. I will compile a build album with photos and details an duse the car as a demo,
 BUT.... at the end of next year I will be going for 400+bhp with OMEX managmet and some silly sized turbo.
