Pics will be forthcoming at some point when I get them on the car - it staill hasn't been repaired because the (VW recommended) garage I took it to exaggerated the damage and the insurance company smelt a rat and are investigating.  I'm just going to get it sorted by my own insurance company now and let them deal with it as I haven't driven my Ed30 since April

Yup, its been really long and drawn out and I am fed up tbh.  I have decided I can't wait any longer and will get it repaired under my policy then go after the w8nker through my insurance instead of the useless broker I used.
