Hi R32, I used to lease an Audi (A6 don't laugh)...only downside apart from it being a totally crap car was that at the end of the lease they tried to stuff me for scratches on the alloys and a scuff on the underside of the front spoiler.  Watch out for any damage when you hand it back.

Out of interest who is the lease company you got the quote from for the r32?

Yeah I know what you mean... but usually giving it a once over from a good valet company and a little touch ups here and there solve that problem.
Cant rember the name of the company as I ended up getting a like for like from vw wakefield but a good place to search deals is

Three payments down upfront. Its always worked out as a 3 + 23 payments for 2yr contract.

So mine costs me £4800 per year. And its a good job I went down the leasing route.. as the list on mine was approx £28k. Its now got 15k on the clock and would probably be worth alot less than £23200!!

If fact I have seen some go for less miles than mine for approx 17k.... so i am quite fortunate in the fact that I have probably saved about 5k!

BUt probably blown that on petrol

tried to get a used car valuation, via www.lingscars.com, they have a Px valuation sevice....

The dealer contact me to say "NOT INTERESTED".

Looks like they think that the GTI will be too difficult to move on...and there was me going to trade up to an R32 (on lease perhaps).

Seen some good R32 lease deals out there, £1k up front and £289 per month..........most interesting, still slightly concerned that moving on the GTI is going to be a complete pain in the arse.

My original plan was to keep her for a couple of years, but these R32 prices are looking pretty attractive,..Jeez they get you every way don't they

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

I would just stick your gti in the auto trader.. and I will be very suprised if it doesnt sell within 2 weeks. Then you have cash! The greatest bargaining tool there its

i was in the dealers today and they hada black 5dr R32 in for 20K, looks absolutely mint and only on 15k mileage wise, i spoke to him about possible px with my gti and he was quite interested as he thought he would shift it alot sooner than the r32...........i am very very tempted, going to pop back next week for a spin.....and more of a chat, see what the bank manager has to say first though (i mean the missus)
