Yeah, the constant +12v must be the memory. You just got to find the switched +12v and then connect them to the correct positions in the plug and you should have a working radio.

Refer to those wiring diagram links I posted earlier and you should be able to confirm the colours of the switched and constant +12v feeds.

Yea thats the point though, there is no ignition feed at all.

There is the MEM which is constant, two others, one for the ariel remote and one for something else?! and then the ignition one.  The one im looking at is deffinatly supposed to be the ignition feed but it just has no power to it.

The best option then is to take a feed from somewhere else in the car that only becomes live with the igniton on and feed it directly to the power plug for the radio. If your cigarette lighter socket switches live with the ignition on this would be a good feed to use. Stick a 5 amp fuse in the line from here to the radio to protect the circuit as the main fuse for the lighter will be rated to high for the radio.

Otherwise you will need to trace the current feed to see why it's not supplying power. Could be a break somewhere.

I'd go with the first option, probably quicker.

Yea, Im not sure where the nearest suply is, the lighter is always live, Might take it off my after market electric window feed :grin:
