My Mk2 in local classics show...
« on: 05 May 2008, 10:47 »
Hi All,
Bought my car a couple of months back and have been giving it some TLC since then. I took it to the local classic car show yesterday and took some pics. There was a lot of interest in the car....anyhow here are the pics of my car and the other cars in the show can be seen in my gallery link.

The car has only done 38k miles from new and has the history and obviously the condition to back the mileage up. I bought it from the original family owner a couple of months ago. She was an elderly lady who had inherited the car from her brother when he died about 14 years ago. He had bought the car when it was new. Her husband is involved with the ferrari owners club so the car had been kept alongside some nice cars in a large private garage.

Regarding not doing many miles in the car...since buying it I've done about 600 miles or so.

I wish! Paid pretty much the going rate. Had been looking for a while and seen exceptionally low mileage cars going for about £4.5k on ebay. Also places like Volkswizard are charging that kind of figure for decent low'ish mileage examples. I paid less than that but have had a few things done by my local VW specialist.
