Looks like something the missis would use with batteries :lipsrsealed:

Although I reckon she would keep sliding off the roof

Seriously, I wish that VW would go back to having the internal aerial as the roof one does nothing for the line of the car

if I was you I would go for the 08 model year combined sharks fin and ariel, VW must of changed it for a reason and I think its because radio reception is not as good with just a sharks fin.

No problem at all with factory fitted OEM aerial - FM and MW

I fitted an aftermarket RNS510... thought about adding the sharkfin but decided that it would make it even more obvious to thieves that there's a sat nav onboard.
It's not that VW sat navs aren't stolen enough already..

Yes - factory fitment with MFD2 etc. Same as image in neg's post. Like this personally and it works just fine. I believe the current sharks fin/bee sting combo is more aesthetic than functional. VW need to update models to sell new cars etc.

Been trying to post back on this site for over an hour - WTF

I have the OEM Sharkfin (I had the factory fit RNS510) and the radio reception is FANTASTIC, I get CapitalFM a good 60miles away from it's mast and I've not got it in any other cars this far out.

I'll post a pic in 2secs...
