. It's a well known fact that VW engines loosen up with miles.
I don't know about stock exhausts but Milltek stainless steel xzorsts definitely take a few 1,000 miles to mature.
I've got the Non-Resonated Hi-flow+Downpipe Milltek (quad outlets you may have noticed

). It's only a wee bit louder than Resonated which in turn is only a wee bit louder than standard. Full song at higher revs is a joy to listen to. "Sporty" is the most appropriate description and quiet at lower revs. My turbo comes in at about 1,900 revs and power remains waaaay beyond UK legal speeds (tested on German autobahns with vestal virgins in attendance getting excited).
