H&R lowering springs.

Look what Tw*t i've been. Bought H&R springs for the GTI and in my haste forgot that I had the driveway from hell. Only realised when they were fitted and I tried to get down it.  :embarassed: No damage fortunately.

Wasn't going to leave the car on the road from now on so had to get them removed. :cry:

Paid out twice now for fitting and now removal. shame as car looked awesome with that -35mm drop.

In the classified section if anyone is interested. about 20 miles use. (Berk)

Must not get so excited when buying stuff.

Still Gulfs seat inserts arrived and cheered mw back up! Thanks Gulf.

£120 please. The drop will look great with those 19's too.

They are normally £160 plus shipping from VW speed. But IMO are worth the extra over Eibachs as the drop is correct.

...."correct"?? Correct according to what? I hardly think that Eibach's product is 'incorrect'. The Eibach Pro-Kit drop is most certainly "correct" when used with particular shocks such as Koni FSD's.

He didn't say they were incorrect..... He said "IMO are worth the extra over Eibachs as the drop is correct" ... I tend to agree with him as the pro-kit doesn't give the drop like the H&R's (only 10mm drop). That said the Eibach Sportlines do go a long way (20/25mm) to match the H&R's but the H&R's just go a bit further at 30mm but with a bit of a harder ride...

Remember it is his opinion just like you have your opinion...

i think the eibachs drop it more than 10mm dont they!!?? 10mm is barley worth doing!! :huh:

....Only 10-15mm I think. When you use Koni FSD's you need to leave more margin for movement as these shocks automatically and smartly adjust their ride according to the road.

Yes, I'd love a lower 'look' to my car but I know how happy I am with the ride and handling. :smiley:
