Rather go out. Buy the cloth and simply wrap the cloth around the trim piece and use a glue gun to fasten the fabric behind. And replace the trim on the dash. Much better.

The glossy finish look terrible.

Ah, didn't notice it had a glossy finish! So I've changed my mind and don't like it.  But if it was cloth then I'd probably like it.

Don't you mean the "engine spin" pattern on the trim?  I can't recall any carbon fibre in the R32 as standard

it looks like carbon fibre, but i guess its what you call it. i did see an aftermarket trim kit, but last time i looked, they wanted half a kidney for it!

Yeah, again OSIR do carbon fibre trims in black or silver for the GTI, but I don't really fancy taking the Edition 30 logo'd one off.
