I still can't understand why the pics posted (of the manual knob and the above DSG knob) look like they're wrapped in leather when mine is quite clearly plastic.

I'm going out in a bit so will have a real close up look then just to double check.

Well I've been out and inspected my knob :nerd:  It turns out that it IS leather despite me thinking otherwise but there's no wrinkles on it so there's plenty of life left in it!
