i got beat by a friends mk4 golf

well was on my way home from work, my friend also on the same route in his golf mk4 and he kept up for some time untill i changed to 6th and did ***mph

then approaching the city he put his foor down and flew past me i tried to keep up so changed gear aggressively but felt like a kinda loss of power in 3rd gear? not happend before and not since?

his mk4 golf is remapped to 190bhp wid 35mm drop plus he had 3 ppl in his car!!!


anyway got me thinking driving around in my gti i MUST GET THE APR STAGE 1

Shouldnt be getting beat by a Mk4 dude Was this down to the car.. or your driving?? A remap wont fix anything if it was ur driving

I sort of know the feeling...but....what does the APR Stage One involve?

to be honest it was partly my driving as i wasnt in race mood  at 5.45am

but stilll even then i shuda kept up with him after his lil headstart.

i think the apr1 is 55 or 65 bhp more?? its offered through awsomegti as apr dealers

had some guy in a merc c220 cdi coupe trying to race me?
i get a lot of ppl speeding around me since ive had my gti

is it a mans thing were they gotta be bigger than you or sumet??

i might change my wheels and put match on the back lol

I have thought about doing the same thing! Everyone want to give it some... which i dont really mind tbh but driving right up my ass is a sure fire way either getting your ass kicked.. or some nice 3" black ovals right on your nostrils

p.s. Usually i just leave em for dust

Some MKIV's have huuuuuuge power. Awesome had a 340bhp MKIV not long ago. A drop of APR should sort it if your skills match up

i find it the opposite, when i had my subaru and my first golf mk3 everybody wanted to race me. now i have my gti nobody wants a go. must be scared imo.

try 230bhp if not more! dont know why the mk4 boyz allways try to make out that they only have so little power!
