yeh i beat quite a few cars in it.

cleaned up an rs turbo last week, that was v satisfying :)

my 16v eats saxos for breakfast ;)

best race i had recently was with this bmw 328i,
bullied him and then took over, guy looked shocked that he was getting beaten by a 15 yr old car :o :o

i used to have an 8valve, saxo vtrs are no problem :D

Sorry matey, 16v's are quick. I know i've got one. But they just won't cope with a 6 cylinder 3ltr beemer engine. My mates got a VERY fast G40 that will give TT's a good run for their money & he can only just have a 328. I know for a fact his 0-60 is in the low 6's. Just accept the fact that there are many cars out there that will b!tch slap a 16v & a 328 is one of em!!
Could be a different story on twisty lanes though ;D

it was a relatively twisty carrigeway, and the guy did drive like a bit of a pussey, :D

but he was going for it, could of been a 323i,
328s arent that quicker than a 16valver mate ;)

im talkin about the old 328i, not the new 330ci

massive diffrence mate :D :-*

Parkers quotes a 0-60 time of 6.8 seconds and a top end of 150mph for a 328.

Thats some-way off the performance of a Mk2 16v dude!

Bare in mind that the torque of the bimmer straight 6 is going to offer massive mid-range grunt, the 0-60 benchmark is probably the one with the least difference as well.

There is no doubting that the Mk2 16v is a quick motor, but if that bimmer was being driven as you were driving your Mk2 I personally think there is little chance you'd have passed him, sorry.

Don't matter how old it was mate, I would treat anything bigger than 320i with some respect!

Cos they WILL make you look like a monkey if they want to!
To be honest i've had my ass kicked by quite a few beemer diesels too. :'(

How did the word disagree get in my post?!!

It should have read "I've had my ass kicked by quite a few beemer diesels" ???
