Went to look at a mk1 cab today!
« on: 06 April 2008, 18:51 »
it was a B reg (1984?) was orange with a badly ripped cream hood, the guy said it hasnt been started in a year but recons a new battery will sort it out.  A lot of the chrome trim had rusted and some was missing and the guy said it had done about 90K.  When I asked how much he wanted for it he said 800 and he wouldnt budge.  I offered him 500 and he told me to F*** off! he was really quite arogant

The worst thing is he told me it had been sat there rotting for 6 years, i just dont get it.  Id of loved that car

yea it wasnt that bad actually, it had no body rust just the chrome trim but the main thing was the roof was shagged.  Its just a shame to let it sit there rotting don't you think?

No rust that you could see anyway!

Sometimes they're too far gone to be worth the hassle, expense and stress. For the money he's asking you can get a road-legal runner. Let the thing rot and invest in something worth saving!

agreed! fella for the price he was asking you could of got the one in my sig exactly how you see it! and it was in good condition except for a little bit of rust! and it had mot for 8 months! to be honest fella there one on edition 38 for 400 16 valve conversion! it comes with no seats no sterring wheel or wheels! but to be fair it would only need a couple of 100 to get it all together! plus it has mot on it! hope this helps!
