you guys are saying what im thinking, we'll see today what this car is actually like, as from my experiance photos hide a multitude of sins (they only show you the nice bits). I was thinking that about the rear valance is it from the 4motion v6? mileage doesnt put me off, as i bought my last one withe 100 something on the clock and she was a gem *sigh

Yep v6 4motion, needed to fit the rear twin exhaust.

Yep v6 4motion, needed to fit the rear twin exhaust.

It also already has colour coded rear vw badge - looks good in silver

Well went to look at the car this afternoon, all the mods were nice and i was impressed by the drive (first experiance of jabba Remap) although wasnt as smooth as the ol' customcode, but all in all there were quite a few things wrong, large strip of rust located underneath the wiper on the tailgate, multiple chips around all the arches (too many to ignore) and inside the driver seat was bobbled to hell and back and had duct tape holding a rip in it. After a long convo with the guy it became apparent that he wasnt gonna budge on price much. On one hand getting all those mods thrown in was a good thing but on the other I set out to find a car that was as good in quality as mine and that means the interior exterior everything!
and it was a 2000 so no AUM 

So in the end i walked away as i felt that the mods didnt justify the lack of quality to be found throughout, and in my gut i want a car that is standard so i can build it up, dont want a ragged turbo!

so as the title says the hunt continues  any leads please let me know!

plenty of others out there mate; he'll be lucky to sell it let alone sell it at that price!!

Yeah best to walk away plenty more about, he will never sell that car for that much with all those probs!!

i saw that in tesco car park the other day was dark at the time and it looked sweet but guess it wasn't as good as it looked!
