Another newbie Advice needed on Milltek

I think the power difference makes it sound different, like I said with mine if I turn back to stock the exhaust is not as loud when you put your foot down so this is probably what you notice.

Awsome have quoted me £396.60 today for a non res delivered, (that doesn't seem to bad) so thats sorted that out! Don't do many motorway miles, and when I do it's usually on the M42 and restricted to 50mph    so the non res should fit the bill..........

My local milltek center said they they made a new version with 3inch exhaust and some center piece changed anyway costing £594.99!!

I like the standard sound from the GTI, the guy at the garage said it will get a little louder after 30k miles and you will feel the turbo more as its run in.

I still want that little edge on the exhaust note, i think when ive got some spare cash i will defo change the exhaust.
But i do a motorway drive to work everyday,, dont think the sound will bother me? cant be that bad?

I've spoken to a few people on here and was talking over the phone today with someone who HAD a non-resonated Milltek. He couldn't live with the droning and vibration it caused inside the car at motorway speeds and ended up taking it off. I have the full turbo-back resonated Milltek which isn't much louder than standard and I am very happy with it.

I was probably the one who bought that when it was advertised on here. I have to say on my car it's not that much louder than standard, and oddly enough I've just arrived back after a 300 mile motorway journey and I hardly noticed it, so perhaps they just vary a little between installations.

....I've done over 40,000 miles on my Milltek Non-Resonated Hi-flow+Downpipe Revo Stage1 and the exhaust sound is perfect in my opinion. Sporting when she revs but sophisticated when at ease. She seems to sound better and better and, yes, she does loosen up and, yes, the turbo seems to make her fly if you use the gears properly. I've just done a 220 mile ride this afternoon on mixed roads M5, A- and B-roads.
