thats very intresting that write just 1 question how do u do the maths to work out how much air is in there

Filled the fibreglass mould with water and then calculated the shortage as a basic rectangle x depth which worked out at around another 30mm build up on top. Took off the reduction in space that the sub would take up in volume and voila. :nerd:

Any ideas which bits/parts/quantities I would need to make the box.

Len,  What type and how much gear did you use?

Ta,

Scott

I would go for a 5ltr of resin to be safe, with the requisite hardner.
Matting - well go for a medium as you may want to bend it and the heavy ones wont!
I would still look at putting some plywood or MDF in there as stiffening where you can, but thats up to you.

Cheers for that, I am gonna get it ordered in the next few days.

Do you need to put any wadding or acoustic material inside the box to avoid echoing or distortion?

cheers,

Scott

Argh, don't buy from Halfords £Â£Ã‚£ - for their £20 kit, I could get it for you for £4 for Maccess! And even still, its crappy - steer clear of any F/G that uses pink paste as hardener, MEKP is much better.

These guys are very well priced, http://www.allscotltd.co.uk/ . Half of the boatyards up here use them as a supplier!
