my golfs never get washed. the project still has 2 years of barn filth all over it...

the rain has finally rinsed off the bird crap now though!

No way  bird crap's like acid on paint work, it left nasty discolouration on my roof after i cleaned it a million times!

Next time the offending pigeon(s) are going to meet the wrong end of my slingshot!!!

mine went into the shop to start on the prep, almost finished it all, if we had carried on yesterday it would have been completed.. but instead going to block sand the filler skim off on the sill where someone tried to jack it up, after it was stud and pulled..

all the lil dings dents anything like that have had a touch of filler skimmed and flatted, all paint is flat..

need to prime the sunny panel.. finish the sill, stonechip the inside lip of the rear arches after a tiny bit of corrosion removal, and jsut do a couple of tiny dings that havent taken a bit of a skim yet..

paint starts saturday with the roof, tailgate and bonnet off..

finished sunday then baked

back monday polished i hope, pre rebuild..

then jsut gotta get the proper bumper and trim paint onto the strips and bumper.. all in time for spring fest

i dont have a GTi either and im looking to do that kind of work. I wanna have a good looking mk2, i dnt know if to wait until im 20 or so and get a GTi (insurance is too expensive under 20) or start on my 1.6 driver.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
