I've got the bloody Golf and the whole 'quality' issue, sad to say, is a myth that really needs debunking.

Must be a friday afternoon special, had mine 2.5 years now and if you didn't know you'd think it was brand new.  Not a creak or rattle anywhere in the interior

sorry teebee, thought you had the seat as someone else comes in the forum with his Red Seat.
 well you must have a friday afternoon GTi, my 07 GTi  and also my 05 GTi didnt have any rattles whatsover. Id take yours back if you say yours rattles as much as a babys rattle..

take it back teebee, i wouldnt stand for it!, if its under warranty, create havoc at the dealers till they sort it out!

It gets very tiring going back and forth to the dealers for warranty work been there done it,if there was another hot hatch around £20,000 as good to drive as the gti mine would be away but just cant find one.

Phil, you'll have to speak up, can't hear you over the rattles  :laugh:

I'll be honest here - I can't be arsed. 13 months till it goes, and I won't be sorry. I've pointed out all manner of things to the dealer, and they don't give a flying one. Sure, they'll fix the dash - four or five days in dock, they say - but I don't wanna drive an asthmatic Polo in the meantime. Who would ? They never even bothered to come up with an explanation as to why it sounded like a diesel.

Noticed a few days ago that paint is flaking off the NSF wing around the junction with the 'screen.
What a surprise  :rolleyes:

Last service - 48k approx - pads all round......a notional £1 prize to anyone who can guess the cost  :huh:

I must admit I'm no fan of the SEAT build quality.  We have a new Leaon PD140 Stylance with Sports Pack coming next week but it was the best of a bad bunch from SWMBO's car list.
