Next best step would be the braided brake lines, IMO. Lewis hit the nail on the head. There's nothing more frustrating than doing 3/4 laps then having to come back in because the brakes are fading. Also, maybe consider running some decent pads like Ferodo DS2500's. I found these to be better than warm OE pads even when they were cold!!
I'd also be weary of running new road tyres as they can suffer from 'tread flex' & get ruined rather too quickly. Next best thing after road legal slicks (Toyo 888's, Yoko A048's etc.) would be part worn roadies with about 4mm on them.
