headlights & bulbs?! whats the best for the money
« on: 26 March 2008, 10:28 »
Looking on sprucing up my front grille a bit so I thought what better than get some fresh lights put in.

What do you guys recommend? The crystal clear headlights? What bulbs are the best for them I have seen quite a few XENON blue bulbs on ebay, would they look any good in my current headlights? Or would a mixture of XENON bulbs and crystal clear be the one?

I have no idea what looks the best, just want some advice from some of you who have already done it!

i've been thinking of the doing the same thing. What people tend to do is leave the bulbs and headlamps at first and get an uprated headlight loom to increase the power of the headlights.

then after that you could get some Xenons but try to get the the least blue tint possible and get some brilliant white 100w bulbs!  the colour temperature just means how blue they get after about 4100K they get more and more blue i think?? i mite be talking out my arse though ask someone else about colour temp.

Then get some crystal clear headlights with the crosshairs!

and get the centre spots aswell

Never liked crystals until i smashed up my front end and used some crystals i had lying about... I like it. I got more light but a loom is a must. Go for some xenon bulbs, around 4100k gives a white light and as you go higher the bluer the light!!!

balls to the 100w lights, you won't need them with a uprated loom.

I uprated my headlight loom today. Amazing differance. Before my lights were getting 11.4v, now there 14v!  Loom was not expensive to get (Got all my stuff from Maplins) and to make was fairly easy.
