you can have the fronts done if there under a certain % and dont fail the light reader test. even better if u know someone who'll do it no Q's asked. not so sure about blue on blue tho  :undecided:

if you do want it perrrrfect go professional m8.. the problem comes when the rear panel tint has to be put on in 2 halves rather than a whole sheet at once.. the only way you really get away with it is if you have a heated rear windscreen and the join happens to meet along a copper heat line, but even so..

yeah i can see the back being a problem tbh, i was or would take the windows out to do it as best i could, but would probably opt for black.

has anyone seen any iridium (rainbow stylee)? i had a larey arai helmet for my bike that i bought an iridium visor for, would like to see what it looked like on windows if avail.

you can have the fronts up to 20% tint i think, its quite easy to do just need to take your time, i did the rear quarters and screen in my mk4 astra i had a few years back. you need some water with washingup liquid, a scraper and a mate to do it.

first make sure you clean the window 100%

next wet the windows with the soapy water and start to peel the film, now as you peel the film in to its two parts make sure you spray loads of water on this and use the scraper to get the air bubbles out. once the sticky side its all on the window just get the air bubble out and let it dry!

rear screen is the same but can be a little harder as you have the elements for the heated screen so can have a few more bubles in it!

if you plan to do the fronts i would take the glass out as it would work out much better, but i would also leave them to dry for a day or so before re-fitting and dont use the windows ( up and down) for about a week after fitting the film

its not that hard, just take your time and i did have to start again at a few points when it went tits

oh and i wouldnt try doing it my self again! lol

ok, this has to be the hardest thing i have ever done, only have the back quarters and the rear window to do..... i took my windows out, and im about 90% happy with the job i did, if anyone is considering doing this then please!!!!!!
ENSURE YOU APPLY YOUR TINT FILM IN A DUST FREE ENVIRONMENT. mine has the odd wirey hair (pube) embedded under the film, im a bit of a perfectionist and did have to re-do one of the windows coz it looked gash, will try and get some pictures up in a minute

it aint that hard really, only bastard is the rear screen cause it is curved and tint isnt affected by heat, doesnt stretch very well at all! btw i work in the sign industry, so had two of us doing it and we both use vinyls, etc each day, so tint isnt much different. Cost me £10 in all.

It makes a big difference to use high quality tint, i used ebay stuff on a roll and it wasnt great, said it was anti scratch, YEAH RIGHT!

You need a sharp blade to cut off excess, soapy water in a spray bottle, a squigee (spelling?!?) what some out the trade may call a scraper. It helps to use some proper cleaning stuff too.

tbh the rear screen needs redoing, but couldnt be assed, so just left it. Has a few creases in that just wouldnt go, damn curved window!!!

LL ;)
