OK - bit of thread hi-jack, maybe not.

Anyhow, having tried an RNS510 in a Treg for a few days, as much as I was impressed with the unit in general, I thought there was a major flaw, or backwards step compared to the RNS-MFD2.  The POI icons - you are severly restricted on how many you are able to display on the map.  This isn't so on the RNS-MFD2, nor on my Audi RNS-E. 

Or have I missed a trick somewhere?

I think you can have 5 or 6 POIs up at once, not a major flaw imo, and having the RNS 510 for a year now, I wouldnt say its a been a problem, in fact I never noticed it.

The RNS can display 10 POI categories at the same time.
I have not found that to be a limiting factor.

Maybe I'm a POI-whore,  but I definately found the 10 a little lacking.    And I don't have everyone ticked in the Golf or the Audi sat-navs!

well i find if you have more than 4 it gets a bit crowded and it wont display them all.

Can't remember.  The Treg now back at the stealers, and I've not been out much (need to be close to a bog!    ).

But generally: stealers, all motorway stuff (which is 5), TICs, historic monuments (I need company - thought I'd get that in before you lot!  ), TMC icons, petrol stations - and probably a few more! 

I'm sure if/when I get one, I could attend some POI-A sessions, and reduce my desires!
