Hi Guys pls help! Just bought Mk1 and need some advice...

OK.. the front (grill) GTI badge needs removing and putting in the right place. I can't seem to see how it is held on and don't want to break something, like the badge or the grill

secondly, the car sits high from the front - is there a cheap option to drop the car somewhat?

lastly, it's got a towbar - how can I remove this?

mk1 gti grille badges have 4 clips , one on each corner. you just need to ease them towards the middle and it should pop off.

If they still do them then speak to Euro Car Parts and get the sportline/speedline kit or something.Ventura springs and Bilstein shocks for about £120 for a 40mm drop.  I put the kit on my old cab and it was fine. Don't know about the tow bar, doesn't it just bolt off ?

Guys, where can I get a grill VW badge for a Mk1? do they have a VW badge on the back as well? mine doesn't have one. Thanks
