I have my Turbo Back (resonated)on the way from milltek :) they said it adds 18 hp by just changing the exhaust and I think its a bit too much for just the exhaust !!

....Are you sure? Don't "they" (Milltek?) mean that the Turbo-back will ONLY add around 18 bhp IF your car is remapped?

Without a remap, the Turbo-back adds a max of 5 bhp to a standard 200 bhp GTI, so I was told by Phil Millington himself.

If that's the case I should see around 303bhp if it proves right and does add 18bhp after a remap.

Ok folks the debate begins here.If i have for arguments sake 300bhp on my pump GIAC map and i have no mods at all, everything OEM.
If i add a perform panel filter and then a milltek system am i gonna see gains, you would say yes :undecided:
if same again on race map you would expect again to see gains??????
whats says you lot? as i am going to experiment, 1st tommorrow on pump map going to vagcom mand measure blocks to see whats happening then add a panel filter then measure to see air mass etc..

I would normally say yes, but if you already have 300bhp with no other mods then I would have to say that 18-20bhp from a filter and exhaust is probably stretching it a little - or then again :undecided:

I would think maybe 10bhp at a push, but GIAC advise no other mods req for their hammer map, which i also have but i cant reach that figure nor can the guys on the audiforum either.Hence i want to try other avenues to see if i can a little extra, been looking at the panel filters and r/robin recomends the ITG filter @ £52 +£6.50 deliv, awesome with pipercross £31 and K&N £42, always used k&n so am swayed to them again.
