DONT DO IT!!! unless you intend to strip it and start again with a more up-to date engine  they are more trouble than they are worth

yeah but to get to that point cost a fair bit! k-jet is hard to find out what wrong, now with the bora 1.8t - had it since 22k now on 46k - total spent on repairs: 0

mk3 vr6 - had since 124k - now on 131k - total spent on repairs - o

lets hope this keeps up

i know what your saying mate, but a stripped out mk1 lightened to the max isnt going to be too much balls ache tbh apart from the engine

well i would replace the fuel tank and filler neck too as this caused me loads of sh!t, also the brakes are pure dog poo, so thats calipers disks/pads and the servo. good luck
