Weird thing whilst driving

right about 6 weeks ago my car would jolt and shudder badly a) when pulling off in first, and b) when between 3-4k rpm in fifth. i changed the ht leads, sparkies, dizzie and cap and it cured the problem for a while, now its back only it doesnt do it at lower revs, just between 3-4krpm, any ideas? i think ignition somewhere but im open to suggestions!

it only does it at about half throttle in fifth could this be clutch related?

Sorted it my ignition time was retarded by a MASSIVE 25 degrees

25 degrees retarded, I am surprised it ran .
Check the timing belt and tensioner as the shift in timing was probably due to the cam belt skipping teeth on the aux shaft pulley.

yeah so was i to be honest, oh well its all sorted now, the distributor had been moved in the past so i think over time and with belt chages etc its just gone way out. quite mad considerin they are meant to run at 6 degrees advance!
