new boy needing some help
« on: 16 March 2008, 14:39 »
hello just bought myself a 1.3 golf ryder need some help in deciding what to do with it. was looking for a nice gti but got bored looking lol was wondering whether it would be worth putting a gti engine in or just putting a 1.8 carb engine in out the driver model which one is easier? and more fun? lol any help would be great. cheers

Your probably best tidying the ryder and selling it on , less effort and youll end up with what you wanted  , the 1.8 carb would be easier tho if you want to go down that route

I think the GTI cam is an upgrade from the 1.8 carb motor

yeah the loom would need swapping - if your goin to go through all that trouble to fit a 1.8 carb, why not try a VR6 or 1.8T - if its staying off the road they are just as complex/easy swaps
