finally got my rear doors converted to electric - was a pain in the ass finding the parts to do the job, massive thanx to doug over on club GTI

basically early spec cars like mine run a different wiring loom to the later cars, and to fit rear electric windows you have to replace the full electrical wiring loom!!! this runs from the fuse box to both A pillars, then it runs down both sides of the car to the B pillars and on the drivers side right up to the central locking pump. At the fuse box which is a nightmare in its self i had to trace all the wires unplug them and then repace with my new loom  THIS WAS A RIGHT FOOKIN JOB and took some pissing about.

i managed to get the new loom inplace in the exact location as the original loom, for the factory finish, to do this most the dash was out as were all the side panels and kick plates plus all boot lining

i also had to replace the door looms with the looms out of a car which had electrics (again this lot had to be out of a early spec car as the conectors changed on later cars

I also had to get some electric window regulators and all the switched (plus convert them to red illumination to match all my others)

got it all back together and everything worked as it should BONUS

Here is the looms i had to remove, no pic of the new one but it was a combination loom and not all sepertate like this lot!! some of the plugs were a different colour which caused some issues but i managed to work out what was what

a few pics of the rear seats now i got the rear headrests in

yes matey very happy, ill be honest their was a moment i did not think the wiring would all go back and the car would work again, so i thought i might have to break it , but i kept at it and got it all back as tho it had come from the factory as it is now. a lengthy job
