Looks boring IMO  - Especially with the loss of the IROC grill - another missed opertunity - the fact that the engines are going to be lesser than the Golf is adding insult to injury.

Just seen a video from the show of a red pearl Scirocco. It looked very nice.

I like the red one.  The one in Auto Express is a white one and imo does not look that good.  A Golf GTI in white looks much better.  Auto Express says that it will be released with the 2.0 TFSI engine but say a 272bhp version is in the works as well as an R version.

It's a shame I will never own one now that I have a toddler.

I love it in red of course!! I could even transfer my VW05 RED plate! It looks like a metallic red 

Oh dear! I'm gonna be looking for as many reasons as I can NOT to want this car! I really need 5 doors, don't I! And the load capacity isn't big enough, is it! How I wish it was much more expensive so I couldn't justify it! I'm sure it wouldn't fit into my tiny garage - The GTI only just fits.

My father had a Mk2 GTI when he was about my age and then had 2 Scirocco's following and then a standard Mk4 Golf before he stopped driving at 90yo. His GTI was white and Sciroccos were red. Almost a family tradition.
