wish this was posted back in november it looks in just slightly better condition than the one i bought i paid £1120 + the cost of a year road tax so imo i would go with your gut feeling of £1300 m8

You got an engine shot? That's a weird car as it is very much a 90 spec car but 4 years too early. When does the V5 state it was registered? Could be the D plate was a vanity plate for an earlier owner.

It is a PB engine, definately a 90 engine too.
It is seriously strange, it has stumped me, a friend who is a full time mechanic for VW/Audi and VW themselves.
I will get an engine shot and add it to the post in the next couple of days.
Dont know what V5 says actually, one thing I havent checked, didnt even think about that!!

PB engine is deffo wrong for a D plate!

Just looked at the pictures and the wiper arms are the wrong way round for D plate to. The shell is for sure a post 88 shell so I reckon it's had a plate swap at sometime or it's a ringer!

Definately not a ringer, like I said Ive had a lot of people look over this car very carefully from the start as that is what I was worried about, it was completely mint when I picked it up too, could not fault it in any way shape or form, I almost bit the blokes arm off!!
