Headlight Adjustment - Kinda urgent ish
« on: 24 February 2008, 16:58 »
So i have fitted a new headlamp unit on my drivers side, along with some bright bulbs. But i dont think they are alligned properly. Short of going to a garage, what is the best way to do it? Wait til its dark and shine them against a wall and manualy adjust of what??

I has the screw things on the back that i presume you turn to adjust them?

Where about should they shine etc?

Cheers

Mike

The adjusting screw you want for height is more difficult to get to than the one just by the rad. If you look between the said light and front wing you will see a cogged wheel. Its a bit difficult so you gotta sort of put a screw driver in levering a bit at a time. Anticlockwise raises the headlight beam and counterclockwise lowers the beam. The wheel by the rad moves your beam left to right.

I got an advisory about mine from the MOT, garage sorted em out

People still complain now though, get lots of people flashing me or looking like they are blinded by the lights

Guess its the bulbs in the Mk4 style lights
