A few problems to iron out then. I like the look of the site. Reminds me of the US site a little.

The GTI alloys on the "moving" car look . Also they have missed the black insert out of the front grill.

So they have dumbed it right down then

Looks like something Tesco's would churn out

the GTI on this new site does look a bit cartoon-like, not as good as in real life. might put some people off a bit.

I work with 3D, and the whole car is 3D and cartoon like, thats why the 17" and 18" wheels look the same, laziness!

Lots of issues to sort out on this new site.

Not least, if you go back to the home, it seems to take ages before anything draws, even if it already loaded the bits...

The thing I like most is the presentation of the options for a car... quite nicely done (and quick, unlike the front page)

No sooner have I spoken, but I clicked on the DSG option, and now my browser is running like treacle.

Doh!

Looks like this site needs a proper QA test.

so its true then, leather only from now on, which I find a bit strange, dont you guys?

I have a GTI on order and just confirmed it with my dealer that I am now getting leather for free, so I'm chuffed to bits!  I couldn't justify the £1600 cost before, so I am extremely happy right now

There's a mistake on the website, it states that the front centre arm rest is now standard, but it isn't.

Steve - Do you know if you would of got cloth if you didn't ring the dealer? Or are all newly build GTI's supplied with leather i.e. cloth no longer available?

Have you got a build date yet? My car should be here at the end of march and I can't wait!

Cheers

Matt

I think any car made after week 5 will be leather, that's what VW told me anyway.  I'd still phone to check, and I'd definitely phone if you had ordered it as I presume those people will want £1600 knocked off the bill!

I ordered mid-Jan, my build date is mid-March and due to me early/mid-April.  I can't wait
