well kinda what is obvious... if you lower a car too much it has a negative effect on handling, but he's been working on ways to over come it and to get the wishbones back into a reasonable position. his mk1 doesn't have wishbones as such but uses a rose jointed set up that sits lower under the hub and relocated the track rod arms to keep everything at an almost factory level, while the car itself is lower.
also running a hefty rear anti roll bar and no front one. he explained it all well but i'm not so good at typing it all out from memory!

ah he must be using balljoint spacers, they allow you to go lower with the wishbones still paralel.

funny he doesnt run a front arb, maybe it works on a mk1 but at the moment i have the standard front arb (18mm) and a 28mm rear plus the standard one (the suppliers are fannying about with the bushes) and i dont like it! the turn in is like a bit delayed and vague. i dont have the front polybushed subframe on yet either so that might be contributing.not that i can rag it yet as the arches still need rolling.

Its not too shabby! The improvement in torque is great, you can accelerate in any gear at low revs, but im not that impressed by the top end improvement. It is quicker but it feels like its not getting quite enough fuel maybe. It would make sense as the kjet on there is setup for a 1.8. Stealth should be able to sort that out for me

Saying that i did record a 6.74 0-60 on the old g-tech, so it cant be that slow lol. (with bald front tyres and no practice )

Bloody wheel bearing has gone on it as well, annoyingly its only about 15k miles old. I think ill buy the next one from vw
