But It looks to me that this diagram and the black GTI photo and also this image from the Vredestein website, all match.

I changed my above post and yes I dunno what I was thinkin lol but they do match. They are fitted as detailed in the diagram and as matching the GTI in the pic.

Im looking forward to getting some new tires for the R and would consider the Vredestein as they seem to have great reviews. Ony problem is I am now on 7500 miles and my tires are still looking like new!!

I just dont get it??? I razz the danglies off mine but it seems they are just really hard wearing. Good for another 10k atleast i would say!!

dunlops sport maxx incase you were wondering. How many miles can you expect from the tires on your gti's??

Thats amazing R32, i would have thought the R would go through tyres quite quickly.GTI front tyres are nearly gubbed by 7500miles

My dunlops have done 24000 miles on my Ed30 and still show no real sign of wear, granted they are mostly motorway miles but still!! I shall certainly be replacing like for like. Any minor performance drawbacks are more than outweighed by longevity!

I expected tyres on my R to last longer than the GTI - i get little to no wheel spin due to the 4motion so I think thats why they last a bit longer. FWD high powered cars tend to scrub the tyres more for grip. So I guess depending on your driving style this will equate to more or less miles on your tyres

I drive my R often to the limit and got 17k miles from the factory tyres supplied from new.

17k thats brilliant!! I think I can expect the same from these... and thats probably without switching them round either. The 4motion really does mean no wheels spin, so i guess thats why they go for so long. The dunlops although have been slagged off quite a bit really do come into their own when it comes to the wet, and even more so with longevity it seems :smug:

My first R32 MKV i did 10500 miles of very"spirited" driving and honestly they were as good as new when i sold her(conti sport contact 2,s)

Second R32 4000 miles on michelin exaltos still brand new, and 3500 miles on falkens still brand new.Even the edges dont seem to wear when you are giving it big licks round bends.
The benefits of 4WD eh??

I have toyo proxes all round, i need the front 2 replacing, would it be okay to go for the Vredestein on the front and leave the back ones to toyo? or should i change all four?
