The sun will in fact dry out the leather and can cause it to crack! :o Go to a good quality leather shop and get some leather cream. I got some Connolly cream in a pot for about a fiver 4 years ago (still using it now!!-lasts ages) and just wipe that in.Leave overnight and job done!!! 8)

my last car with leather (black) also had no air con and was a bit of a sticky sweaty nightmare in summer.

I found shorts ok, it was by back that got the hottest.

I kept the leather in good condition with auto glym leather cream.  Sound similar to N-Wales-vr6's connolly cream.  Got to take care of it in summer, sun is the bain of a leather interior's life.


A VR6 isn't a way of life, it's just a car.

glad i have air-con, and a sunroof :)
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

Try this.... Curry the night before and then a long drive say about 4 hours with the seats on number 5  :P
