I spent a fortune once on zimmerman discs and green stuff pads on my old 8 valve. Result, still poo, until warmed up which never happened on the daily commute. When thrashing around then yes probably a difference.(placebo effect)
It wasn't till i got my 16 valve that i really noticed the difference. Hey presto! breaks that work. I have total confidence in my brakes and have been running a set up of standard discs with pagid pads for nearly a year now and let me tell you they fookin stop when you want them to brother. Oh yes!
With regards to said German Ring, i'd save me money on fancy pads ' n ' discs and just go standard 16v with pagid pads. You really cant go wrong, seriously.
