tried every thin on mine, was the coil.  sorted! then the relay packed in about 3 weeks l8er, now its the imobiliser! Can you have em disconected or can you get a new one form VW?

^ thats interesting, because mine was like that, then the coil actually went.

now i've got a new one i'll see if my troubles have packed up their bags too.

Talking to my local friendly electrician and he told me if the thin starts cutting out check to see if the coil is getting enough volts (12.4v is about right).
It?s not always the coil that is faulty but the wiring.
He also told me that the fuse box on golf?s seem to go a lot so pray that dose not go as that gets expensive.
?52 to sort out the immobilizer still running fine.
