The only time I've been waved, or flashed at is when I was stood on the side of the road getting a lecture for going waaaay to fast  :angry:

Everything I drive is VW, thats a gti, cabrio and a LT van, I nod and smile at all other vw's, they all think I staring at them I think, only in the notts/derby area though, never had that in the nw, always got a return nod or wave!!

I gave some guy the thumbs up when I was walking down the street and he rolled up to the traffic lights in a bright orange mk1 and he nodded back.

I usually don't notice other mk2s until they've gone past  :sad:

Had some guy in a vr6 corrado grin at me as he undertook me on a dual carriage way as I was stuck in a queue of traffic behind some old woman doing 45.  :rolleyes:
